LCM manufactures a wide range of high purity rare earth metals plus yttrium and scandium. The metals are produced by reduction of suitable precursor materials followed by vacuum remelting and/or sublimation to give required purities.

Form
These products are typically supplied in the form of irregular, broken or cropped ingot pieces.
Quantity
Batch sizes vary from 0.1kg up to 50kg depending on the metal and physical form.
Packaging
Packaging selection depends on the metal, physical form and batch size. Common examples are sealed glass ampoules, glass bottles and vacuum-sealed laminate packs. These protective inner packagings are commonly secured within steel drums or plastic pails before dispatch
Quality assurance
Production processes are part of our quality management system—certified to ISO9001:2000 standard. Each batch is supplied with a Certificate of Conformance detailing the results from chemical analysis.
